Acute Services Building (ASB)

The Acute Services Building (ASB) at Christchurch Hospital was the largest government project in the Canterbury rebuild programme and a significant investment in the future health needs of the Canterbury region. Located behind Christchurch Women’s Hospital in the inner city of Christchurch, the project has a base value of $650m and was scheduled to open in 2019

asBuilt were engaged to provide BIM Design documentation of all non-structural building service elements. This included extensive plantroom support and coordination for seismic analysis during construction.

Our role during this project aided in the coordination of all services, consultants and sub-trades affectively. This new industry approach in software, technology and workflows enhanced the overall efficiency of the construction process.

Being a significantly substantial national project there was numerous challenges that our technical background could provide vital support to. asBuilt's involvement in the project was completed in March 2015.

The final deliverables were carefully and diligently managed to provide positive client outcomes.
