Wintec - Hamilton City Campus

Established a central coordination and information platform to set up BIM procedures for the project lifecycle - concept, design, construct and handover.

 

asBuilt was commissioned before the main project to digitally survey the main campus. This included external Drone photogrammetry, internal 3D scanning of key buildings and Underground Survey information which was then 3D BIM Models. This was handed over to the project team at the start of the project to align all consultants for coordination.

During the project, asBuilt performed ongoing BIM management and digital advisors to Wintec to maintain the clients BIM deliverables and objectives. These workshops and engagement sessions established a campus wide digital strategy. This integrated Operational Manuals (OM), Facilities and asset Management (FM) datasets, software workflow and API integrations.

Problem

Wintec needed a common data environment (CDE) where all existing models could sit. In order to achieve this they need the whole campus scanned both with 3D HD Laser Scan and Drone.

Solution

asBuilt completed a digital survey of the main campus, this included external Drone photogrammetry, internal 3D scanning of key buildings and underground survey.

  • Digital replica of the campus for consultants to work from.
