PURPOSE 

Summary of the role – overall role contribution to team, department and organisation. 

The asBuilt Marketing Intern role is responsible for assisting with all written output (social, digital, traditional) for the company; along with advertising and content scheduling, PR and promotional activities for the company. 


SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

Key elements and required results of the role. 

  • Managing social media channels, in particular writing, creating and developing online content. 
  • Manage Google AdWords account. 
  • Understand analytics and provide business recommendations based on activities. 
  • Helping to develop, write and execute online advertising campaigns. 
  • Updating and maintaining the website, ensuring site is optimised for search engines. 
  • Assisting team members with day-to-day marketing and communications tasks and coordinating projects and activities as requested. 
  • Organising the production of branded items such as stationery and merchandise. 
  • Setting up tracking systems for marketing campaigns and online activities. 
  • Track competitor activity by keeping abreast of market changes and competitor marketing mix. 
  • Assisting with the production of artwork, sourcing images, print buying and checking copy. 
  • Understand where customer's at and what they experience when interacting with our software. 
  • To help facilitate communication within the organisation at internal meetings by bringing any customer feedback to the team. 
  • Maintain competitive knowledge to assist in the creation of marketing strategies. 
  • Attend industry meetings, seminars, trade shows and conferences as appropriate. 
  • Prepare monthly performance reports. 
  • Other activities as directed by the Team Lead.

AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION 

Number of years experience, Qualifications and People Management experience. 

  • At least 1-year of university level study or similar work experience, ideally in Computer Science, Engineering or related area. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage deliverables. 
  • A solid understanding of marketing and communication fundamentals. 
  • Experience and knowledge of HubSpot, SEO, SEM and marketing fundamentals. 
  • Ability to work and coordinate with key stakeholders. 
  • Experience in the construction industry would be an advantage. 
  • Ability to write and edit documentation, both internal and external. 
  • Knowledge of Workflow systems, SaaS, Cloud based software and their precepts useful. 
  • Knowledge of Github, Microsoft operating suite, MS Teams, Zeplin an advantage. 

 


SKILLS

  • Ability to create and edit content for a range of communications channels. 
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter from a marketing perspective. 
  • Strong self-management and excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with natural ability to articulate marketing and communication propositions. 
  • Able to quickly grasp marketing strategies and understand required deliverables. 
  • Creative and innovative in developing solutions to marketing and communications issues. 
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced team environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to assess data. 
  • Accuracy and grammar are essentials for credible written representation. You must perform these duties to a high-degree. Being fast, but accurate, ensures operational credibility. 
  • Business related computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Have good design related computer skills - i.e. Final Cut Pro, Adobe CS5 Suite InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
